Write4reel is all about writing for audio/visual media. “Reel,” for you post-Internet babies, references old school storage media like film and audio tape.

This site examines the process of getting ideas onto the screen and speakers so one’s vision gets properly translated into pictures and sound. It also looks at important storytelling components like plot, characterization, conflict, editing, point of view and dialog, to name a few.

Peter Frahm is an Adjunct Instructor in Communication, Media and the Arts at Lansing Community College. He lives in Lansing with his long suffering wife, three teenagers and an empty refrigerator. His life’s ambition is to snag an invite to Rick Castle’s weekly poker game.
